Executive Summary

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is a four-level, approximately 66,000-square-foot museum featuring exhibit halls, a multimedia theater, event space, administration offices, café, and retail areas. Iconergy led LEED whole-building energy simulation modeling and provided commissioning support during design and delivery. Energy modeling demonstrated compliance with LEED EA Prerequisite 2 and supported achievement of seven points under LEED v3 (2009) EAc1. The proposed design reduced modeled site energy use by 33% and reduced annual energy cost by 25% compared to the baseline model.

Scope of Services

LEED whole-building energy simulation modeling (comparative analysis of design options)
Documentation support for LEED energy credits and prerequisites
Commissioning support during design and delivery
Functional verification of selected HVAC components and control sequences
