Executive Summary
Iconergy was engaged by Deer Trail School District 26J and Cooperative Strategies to provide comprehensive CHPS consulting, energy modeling, and commissioning services for the new Deer Trail PK–12 School in Deer Trail, Colorado. The project was delivered as part of a Colorado BEST Grant and involved integrated project delivery from early design through construction and warranty. Iconergy’s work supported CHPS Verified certification, BEST grant compliance, and delivery of a high-performance, durable, and energy-efficient rural school facility.
Project Overview
The Deer Trail PK–12 School project involved construction of a new consolidated school facility to serve students across all grade levels. Iconergy supported the design team through early energy analysis and CHPS consulting to inform selection of efficient, right-sized mechanical systems and sustainable design strategies. During construction, Iconergy performed submittal reviews, site observations, functional performance testing, and testing and balancing verification to make sure systems met the Owner’s Project Requirements and CHPS criteria.
