Executive Summary

Iconergy provided multiple design-build infrastructure and renewable energy improvement projects for the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) across several Youth Services Center campuses. These projects addressed critical site infrastructure challenges, supported renewable energy goals, and delivered turnkey solutions including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and warranty support. Collectively, the projects enhanced campus resiliency, reduced operational risk, and advanced the State’s sustainability and energy objectives.

Mount View Youth Services Center – Water Drainage Infrastructure

The Harriman Ditch runs through the Mount View Youth Services Center (MVYSC) campus in Lakewood, Colorado, providing non-potable irrigation water. As a ditch share owner, CDHS is responsible for maintaining the ditch within campus boundaries. To prevent ongoing water damage to facility infrastructure, Iconergy was contracted to enclose and bury approximately 700 linear feet of the ditch within a pipe system, protecting buildings and site utilities while maintaining irrigation functionality.

Platte Valley & Prairie Vista Youth Services Centers – Solar Photovoltaic Systems

Iconergy was selected by CDHS to design, manage, and construct ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems at two Youth Services Center campuses. At the Platte Valley Youth Services Center in Greeley, Iconergy delivered a 35 kW net-metered PV system completed in July 2021. At the Prairie Vista Youth Services Center in Brighton, Iconergy delivered a 45 kW net-metered PV system. Both projects were provided as turnkey design-build solutions, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and warranty-phase support.
