Executive Summary
Iconergy was selected by Stratton School District R-4 to provide facility infrastructure master planning, BEST grant assistance, and a turnkey design-build efficiency retrofit to upgrade critical building systems. Prior to the project, many packaged rooftop HVAC units were 20+ years old—beyond their expected service life—and control system limitations contributed to comfort challenges and an inadequate learning environment. Iconergy led the Colorado BEST grant application process and secured funding to complete HVAC, controls, electrical, and related health and safety improvements. Iconergy also helped the District leverage CARES Act funds to replace a portion of rooftop units over a holiday break, with remaining work completed through summer and fall. A follow-up project included replacement and commissioning of security systems.
