Overview

Round Mountain Water & Sanitation District sought to modernize aging water infrastructure, replace failing meters and a primary well, and reduce electricity costs for pumping. We supported the district through an EPC and DOLA‑grant funded program, implementing AMI metering, a new well and treatment system, and solar PV to improve reliability, efficiency, and long‑term operational sustainability.

Solutions

Our team replaced aging mechanical meters with advanced AMI ultrasonic meters, constructed a new well house with improved pumping and treatment systems, installed a right‑sized well pump for efficiency, implemented a full AMI data platform, and added a 50‑kW ground‑mounted solar PV array to offset pumping loads.

Results

The project delivered $73,240 in verified annual savings—exceeding the guarantee by $15,530—while improving pumping efficiency by 47%, recapturing 7,720 kGal of billable water, reducing operational burdens, enhancing system reliability, and lowering long‑term energy costs.
