Energy Modeling
Using AI to create a digital twin of your building before it’s built to estimate energy costs and discover new opportunities for savings through energy efficiency
Discovering energy efficiencies and understand renewable energy opportunities early in the process
Our team is ready to make sure that your new building will operate as efficiently as possible while maintaining the same occupant comfort that people expenct when they walk into a modern space.

Energy Modeling Explained
Energy modeled simulations can include detailed information about your building envelope, lighting, electrical systems, HVAC systems, water systems, renewable energy opportunities, and virtually every other energy-intensive system. We’ll provide detailed reports that outline our energy modeling results and recommendations for efficiency improvements. At your request, we can also provide a cost-benefit analysis of any recommended improvements.
Many clients seek an estimate on their energy use intensity (EUI) for ordinance compliance or to achieve sustainability certification requirements such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS).
Our energy modeling services allow us to show our clients a building’s functionality and optimization potential to consider energy consumption from the time of day, occupant capacity, comfort preferences, energy use, and energy costs prior to construction. Ideally, we can provide energy modeling during the design phase. This makes it easier and more cost-effective to make the modifications that achieve the simulated energy usage. Our team will recommend energy-saving measures that can be implemented to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
New Construction Energy Modeling
Before even purchasing environmental systems, many clients take advantage of energy modeling to simulate the energy use of different equipment. We can provide data such as the difference in using a heat pump vs a gas boiler. With a growing interest in heat pumps, clients appreciate seeing how these types of systems can lower their overall greenhouse gas emissions and be an efficiently operating facility. We also model systems such as how the installation of variable refrigerant flow or on-site renewable energy generation impacts the facility.

Major Renovation Projects
When it comes to making strategic decisions about energy upgrades during a major renovation project, you’ll first need to know how your current building is using (and wasting) energy. Energy modeling can provide the information you need to make these decisions. Energy modeling provides the data necessary to evaluate different design options and implement the most effective energy efficient environmental systems for their building.

Know Your EUI Before You Build
Energy modeling provides the crucial information you need to make strategic, cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades as the model can be a valuable resource you can utilize to visualize your building’s future.
We design our projects to be easy to understand and engaging, so you’ll be better equipped to make decisions about energy use and system upgrades.
Whether your goal is to be net zero energy or to save money on your monthly utility bill, energy modeling is a reliable strategy to better understand your building’s anticipated energy use and deter energy waste in your new space.
